Intruder alarm systems are at their most effective when they are able to call for a response. This may be from the Police or from a third party Guarding company but there is no doubt this increases the level of security and the deterrent to any potential intruder.
 
In order to achieve 'Police Response' in the UK, your intruder alarm system must be installed to a recognised standard by either a NACOSS or SSAIB approved contractor. CFS meet both of these requirements.
 
Signals are sent via telephone line to an 'Alarm Receiving Centre' or ARC.
The call is either transmitted down a conventional telephone line using a device called a digital communicator or via a specially adapted line using BT's RedCARE system. Further enhancements are available such as GSM whereby the landline connections are backed up with mobile phone technology. CFS offer all of these solutions.

  • Redcare is the choice for the majority of commercial properties monitored in the UK. It's biggest advantage is that it is a monitored system itself. If there is a line fault or perhaps a telephone line is cut deliberately, the system will raise and alarm. A digital communicator will not do this.

          Monitoring of Fire Alarm systems is not always seen as a necessity however, this is simply not the case. More than 70% of fires in commercial properties occur when the building is unnocupied. If your fire alarm system is fitted with automatic smoke detectors, you should consider connecting it to an ARC. In the event of a fire being detected, the fire brigade will be alerted along with a key holder for the building. Modern fire detection systems can detect fires at their earliest stage. This gives the fire brigade an excellent chance of extinguishing a fire and minimizing damage.
